When the wall came down in 1989, everyone was shocked. Everyone in East and West Berlin was excited. They even helped take it down because they were so happy. All the bricks, concrete, and the barbed wire came down in what seemed like an instant. When the wall came down it ended the Cold War and the Soviet Union became a weak empire. The East had fallen into an economic and political country. While the West enjoyed prosperity and personal freedom. When the wall came down the East and the West combined and it became one big country again. Everyone could finally meet up with their family and get their jobs back. There are still parts of the wall today for tourists that come to Berlin. The wall fell started being taken down in 1989, but was officialy down in 1991.

The Berlin Wall fell because of the countless revolutions by the people of Berlin. After a long time the sovit union finally took it down.The Berlin Wall was destroyed by the people of Berlin. This marked the end of the cold war when the Soviet Union agreed to let the wall be taken down. It fell in November of 1989 and finished in november of 1991. The people of Berlin were very happy that they no longer had to be split from each other, and could once again be one nation. When the wall fell Berlin became a capitalist counrty, and communism in Berlin was abolished.
